The Story

The wardrobe as a suspension. A heavy and minimalist monolith that seems to float, like it is in levitation. An exoskeleton that surrounds it and contrasts with it, empty and complex at the same time. The wardrobe, block of pure wood is set like a jewel.

The Craftsmanship

The French word "ébéniste" (cabinetmaker) appeared in the dictionary of the French Academy for the first time in 1732, to distinguish it from the carpenter, because cabinetmakers make use gilding, marquetry, veneer and other techniques. Cabinetmakers work on living wood stock for a decorative purpose, defining the model and its ornamentation; They saw the components, plan them to the right sizes, and finish them by sanding, varnishing, waxing or scraping.
